What you will learn
This course covers Life Threatening issues (Primary care) & First Aid treatment (Secondary care). You will be given a good balance of theory (to understanding what you are doing and why), and hands-on practice to build competence and confidence.
You will also be given an overview of relevant legislation, to help ensure that any emergency or less urgent first you may later give, is appropriate and that you are also protected by current legal guidelines.
Of course, you never know when your first aid skill will actually be needed, so not only will you learn adult CPR, you will also learn, and practice with, children and infant manikins too.
Our course far exceeds current HSE guidelines. Please see the table below to compare our course, relative to the current HSE guidelines.

Certification
On successful course completion, candidates will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, showing compliance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The certificate is valid for three years. Assessment is by continuous observation during discussions and practical training.
